[ Event Summary ]
Building bridge, promoting communication and facilitating Sino-European HealthTech collaboration is our mission and vision. On the occasion of the Chinese New Year 2023, we had great honor to have this unique opportunity to co-organize the closing Innovation webinar of the year 2022 of China Alliance of Neuromedical Innovation and Transformation (CNIT) and had Dr. Jürgen Burger, Professor for Translational Medicine and Precision Engineering, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Science at the University of Bern to share his expertise and experiences in medical devices innovation with Chinese medtech innovators in neurosciences.
Focusing on the opportunities and challenges for medical device innovations in neurosurgery, Prof. Burger started from disruptive and incremental innovations, talked about medical device development process, in particular the importance of quality management, risk management and user need during the development process. He then dived into these topics with vivid examples coming from neurosciences, some of which were projects he was actively involved in. After the presentation, there were nice discussions and exchanges between Prof. Burger and the audience. At the end, the Chairman of CNIT, Prof. Hongqi Zhang has again emphasized the importance of today’s webinar as the closing event and expressed the wishes for more exchanges with European experts and innovators.
Despite of several important parallel events in China, there were 40 CNIT members participated the Zoom webinar and around 180 public audience watched the live stream. We, IMPELINNO want to use this opportunity to thank Prof. Burger for his great support and the excellent talk he delivered to the Chinese audience and looking forward to collaborating with his team and of course also many other experts, who are interested in Sino-European life science collaboration.
